Nestled west of the Perquimans River, east of the Yeopim Creek and sitting on the Albemarle Sound, Holiday Island is one of North Carolina’s beautiful hidden waterfront areas.  We are located in Hertford, NC, and just south of historic Hertford’s city limits.

Holiday Island is a community of both full time residents and part time vacationers. Our community is made up of houses, manufactured and modular homes as well as 3 camping areas.

Although Holiday Island is the southern most point of the Perquimans County Peninsula, we are totally surrounded by water by means of the Albemarle Sound and the canals that wind in and out of each area.

Holiday Island has been in existence since the early 1970s. While seemingly untouched by the outside world, Holiday Island is easily accessible from Route 17, running between Elizabeth City and Edenton.

The people of Holiday Island are very friendly and welcoming of newcomers to the area. Come on down and check us out.
